This #GivingTuesday, November 29, 2022, we come together to
MAKE A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!
Alex and Alicia chose to raise their children in Canada to given them a lifetime of opportunities. Cherrie and Christopher lived an amazing childhood and grew to have successful careers. Christopher was not yet 32 years old when suddenly he was diagnosed with ALS. His journey lasted five years.
Cherrie started ALS Double Play in 2014, three years after her brother was diagnosed. Together they named the charity, using baseball terminology as a nod to Lou Gehrig who was a major league baseball player and also suffered from the disease. The charity would only focus on two things, awareness and research, hence "double play."
ALS Double Play supports ALS research at the University of Toronto. To date they have funded two three-year research fellowships and are currently funding Dr. Paul McKeever. As of today, there is no cure for ALS and no truly effective treatment...yet. Join us this GivingTuesday and help us make ALS history for Christopher, Cherrie, Alex and Alicia and the entire ALS community.
You can WIN just for GIVING BACK!
When you make a donation of $50 or more, you will be entered into a draw to win a Family Pass to Angus Glen's Fairway of Lights ($110 value).
